At Soaps and Scents, we’ve been making soap the old fashioned way for nearly 20 years. It all starts with a healthy amount of all-natural, pomice olive oil. To that, we add our shea butter, essential oils, and natural colorants. Everything is set over heat and carefully monitored until it has properly coalesced.

After the soap is mixed and the saponification process has occurred, it’s time to pour our soap into the log molds. We begin pouring with the base color, adding as many different colors/ aromas as the particular recipe calls for. A long skewer is inserted and swirled around in the viscus soap mixture. This will create the one-of-a-kind designs on each individual bar.

Our soap log molds are custom made, which results in a bar that we find to be not-too-big and not-too-small; the absolute perfect size for hand holding, really. If you haven’t had a chance to try one of our soaps for yourself yet, you’re in for a real treat when you finally get your first Soaps and Scents bar!
